We continue to give Thanks!

We Continue to Give Thanks! Caroline and I pray that all of you had a wonderful celebration of Thanksgiving last Thursday, remembering the multitude of blessings the Lord pours out upon us every day.  Special guests at our family Thanksgiving table were Caroline’s mother, Yolande Saindon (98) and my mother, Dorene Hiscox (92) who both reminded us that a close family is a wonderful gift from above.

Portland Pastors’ Prayer, Coming up Dec 7
InFaith’s Portland prayer warriors will be at it again on Thursday, December 7 at 10 AM at Woodland Park Chapel.  Our monthly gathering to pray for the churches and church leaders in the Northwest Oregon Field has been moved up a week to accommodate Christmas celebrations underway at many churches.  Thanks to Pastors Steven Boyle and Brad Gentry for faithfully leading us in this regular intercession with the Lord for our fellow laborers.  Please join us on the 7th at 1914 NE 102nd Avenue, Portland.

Preregistration is open, and important, for ADVANCE 2024.  Our annual weekend at the coast for pastors, missionaries, church leaders and their spouses is scheduled for January 19-21 at Twin Rocks Conference Center in Rockaway Beach.  Click here for preregistration today.

Important Details About Registration:
After you have pre-registered we will hold your room, pending receipt of your check by December 31.   When your registration check is received, we will send you a confirmation note (usually by email) guaranteeing your place at ADVANCE.  While we fully expect to have room for all who wish to attend, we cannot guarantee lodging assignments until we have received payment.  Even if you prefer to pay upon arrival, please preregister either online or by mail as that helps us prepare to meet your needs on ADVANCE weekend.

Sandy Fellowship Breakfast, December 20th
Our monthly fellowship gathering at Tollgate Inn in Sandy is still on the calendar for December 20th at 9 AM.  I realize that is close to Christmas, so I am open to suggestions from the regular attenders if you want to switch days.  Email, call or text with ideas!  Otherwise…I hope to celebrate with you all on December 20th at 10 AM.

As you and your families prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I pray you will also eagerly anticipate His second Advent, which grows ever closer each day.  Though no man knows the day or the hour, we will all rejoice together again when He comes!
