Working with Western Seminary to Develop Small Church Pastors

***2020 Update!*** InFaith: Northwest Oregon and Sunday School Fellowship have opened this offer to students at other seminaries and Bible colleges, as well as potential pastors who are involved in less formal preparation for ministry. Please read through the information below, and contact thiscox@infaith.org as the Lord leads you.

Mentored ministry scholarship

InFaith: Northwest Oregon and Sunday School Fellowship are teaming up with Western Seminary, Portland to encourage pastors-in-training to consider small church ministry.  The Joshua Project in the 2018-19 academic year will offer $500 scholarships to selected Western students who are chosen to serve their mentored ministry requirements at one of the many InFaith: Northwest Oregon fellowship churches.  The pilot project is in its infancy, but the first-year goal is to place four such students in local churches, directed by the local church leadership and mentored by area missionary Tom Hiscox.  Click on the links below to read information about The Joshua Project, which will be shared with Western students this fall in their first ministry formation classes.  Lord willing, the success of this project will pave the way for expanding the scholarship offering in future years to include other Northwest Oregon schools that are preparing future ministry leaders.
