A Productive Harvest is on the way!

Dee and Glenn Luppold

Dear Friends of InFaith: Northwest Oregon,
Summer is only a few days away!  That means a lot of visits from friends and family, tons of recreation and opportunities to connect with others in the great outdoors.  The Lord has blessed all of us in Northwest Oregon with undeniable testimony to His creative love, in the witnesses of the trees and flowers and mountains, and in the constancy of the waves at the Oregon coast.  Here are a few connections and opportunities to share that divine love in the near future…

Word from InFaith senior missionary Irene Britton is that fellow InFaith missionaries Glenn & Dee (Haynes) Luppold (pictured here) will be visiting the Portland area soon.  Irene is holding an open house for them June 29th from 4 to 8 pm(ish), at her home 3014 NE 48th Ave, Portland OR  97213    Irene asks that those coming to share the time with them bring your own beverage and a finger food.   The Luppolds are currently serving the Lord in an InFaith seniors ministry in Lancaster, Ohio.  They formerly ministered to refugees and seniors in Oregon and Washington for several years.

Columbia Community Bible Church is gearing up to reach out to their neighbors through a community yard sale, July 19 .  Reverend Steven Boyle emphasizes this is not a fund-raiser for the church, just an opportunity to bring the neighborhood together on the church grounds at 420 NE Marine Drive in Portland. That Saturday at 8:30 am, the church yard will be opened for members of the community to set up their table or spread a blanket from which to sell “stuff” from their garage or basement.   Rev. Boyle is also inviting any InFaith-affiliated churches to set up their own booth, table or blanket with things to share, sell or giveaway. There is no charge and all the proceeds from their sales will go to the seller’s own causes.   The event will go from 9am-3pm. Reserve a spot by leaving a voice message (no texts) at 503-240-0923 and leave a message.

Sandy Fellowship Breakfast, Wednesday, June 18
Pastors and leaders from congregations in the eastern portion of the InFaith Northwest Oregon mission area are gathering tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9 AM at Tollgate Inn in Sandy for our monthly no-host fellowship breakfast.  A suggested topic for our breakfast discussion: What changes has the Lord been making in your congregation or community since the pandemic ended?  I hope to be pleasantly surprised by some of your answers.  Please bring your stories and join us!

NWXNW, Tuesday, June 24
A highlight of our ministry schedule next week will be the gathering of the NWXNW ministry leaders’ fellowship, Tuesday from 3-5 PM at the Shiloh Basin schoolhouse (on the campus of Shiloh Basin Community Church).  NWXNW is an informal assembly of leaders from the churches in the northwest corner of our ministry area, along the Highway 30 corridor from Scappoose to Clatskanie, and visitors are always welcome!  Shiloh Basin Community Church is located at 3005 Tide Creek Road, Rainier, OR.    Thank you, Pastor Matt and Terah Bagwell for hosting this month!

Camp Morrow Ministry is Underway!
Next camps at Morrow this summer include Lil’ Buckaroos (under age 9) on June 21, followed by Jr. High Warriors Guild June 23-28.  For a complete schedule of the summer’s schedule at Camp Morrow go to www.campmorrow.org .

May the Lord bless you and your ministries with abundant fruit this season!
