You Can Help Dodge Community Church Rise Again from the Flames
The community of Dodge (just south of Estacada) is still smoldering as the Riverside fire continues to burn in the forests and fields of the area.  A few residents have returned to help extinguish hot spots, although the community is officially still in the Level 3 evacuation zone.  Deacon Tony Skoein has been fielding numerous calls and offers of assistance as word has gotten out that the historic Dodge Community Church building was destroyed in the inferno. The Riverside fire is not yet contained, so it is too early to say when recovery efforts will begin for the church.   The structure was insured, but there are likely to be additional expenses as the church recovers.  Some of you have been moved by the Lord to help, but don’t know how.  There will likely be opportunities to help with reconstruction of the building in the future.  But if the Lord is moving you to help out financially, right now, we are confident those funds will be used by the church to aid not only in their rebuilding, but also with needs throughout their community, where some have lost their homes.  You can mail your contributions to Dodge Community Church, c/o Wanda Skoein, treasurer, 26079 S Hillockburn Road, Estacada, OR  97023.

DATE CHANGE FOR ADVANCE 2021: New Dates – January 22-24, 2021
It’s a long story, but Twin Rocks has moved us back to our regular weekend for the event.  My apologies if some of you have already changed your plans based on the previously-announced dates.  I hope to have registration materials available in November.  Please mark your calendars now and plan to join us for our annual gathering of pastor, missionaries and their spouses for a weekend of worship, fellowship, inspiration and relaxation on the Oregon coast.

Please pray for me next week as I travel to New Jersey for InFaith’s annual Refresh Conference.  I will try to stay in touch, but next week’s memo may be a little late.   Thank you for your faithful service for Jesus in the churches on Northwest Oregon.
