Oh, the Places we go and the People we meet!!

Dear Friend of InFaith: Northwest Oregon,
Thank you for your prayers following my recent minor surgery.  The Lord has been gracious, and I am finally able to get back behind the wheel and start doing some visiting again.  I invite you to come along to see some of the beautiful places and friendly faces I see in my service to our Lord!

If you have never heard of the NWxNW ministry leaders’ fellowship, you are invited to check it out this month.  NWxNW is an informal gathering of leaders from the six InFaith-connected churches in the Highway 30 corridor, from Scappoose to Clatskanie, the far northwest corner of InFaith’s Northwest Oregon field.  These almost-monthly get-togethers are times of sharing, prayer and fellowship with folks who are serving Jesus together in connected small communities: Holbrook Bible Church, Deer Island Community Church, Columbia Bible Church, Shiloh Basin Community Church, Hudson Park Bible Church, Mayger-Downing Community Church.  It is always encouraging to see the way these brothers and sisters from different congregations work together to bring the love of Jesus to their neighbors.  NWxNW welcomes visitors too!  If you are from elsewhere in the field, and would like to drop in on next gathering, contact me at thiscox@infaith.org.  I may be able to offer a ride.

Portland Pastors Prayer, This Thursday, 10 AM

It is a privilege also to meet monthly with a handful of shepherds from InFaith churches in the Portland area.  Pastors Brad Gentry of Woodland Park Chapel and Steven Boyle of Columbia Community Bible Church lead us all in an hour or so of prayer for the numerous ministries and fellow servants of Jesus.  Please join us and let us share the joys and challenges of your ministry as we go before the Lord.

Sandy Fellowship Breakfast, February 21st, 9 AM
Tollgate Inn, 38100 Hwy 26, Sandy

There is guaranteed to be good food at this monthly gathering of ministry leaders from the eastern portion of our field!  This no-host monthly breakfast has been going in for years and is always filled with stimulating conversation and plenty of “Iron sharpening iron.”  Come to the table this month to rub elbows with others who serve the King.

If you can’t contact me this Friday, here’s why…
One gathering you probably can’t join with me this week is the InFaith Northwest US Area Coordinators Meeting, February 9th.  Field Director Nathan Bath will be leading about ten of us in an all-day online conversation where we pray for all the InFaith field staff and missionaries serving in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, and we lay out a few plans for next steps in our mission.  It will be good to see a few faces I haven’t seen in a while and to learn what the Lord is doing through InFaith in our neighboring fields.
