Giving back what the Lord has given us...

Dear Friend of InFaith: Northwest Oregon,
People sometimes ask me, “Tom, how can I support the work of your ministry, beyond my financial contribution?”  (OK.  That question doesn’t come up often, but it does come up occasionally.)  When it does, the answer is something like “Volunteer whatever gifts the Lord has given you and see where He takes them.”  One of those places where you can put those gifts to work is through our partners at Sunday School Fellowship, and a great opportunity to step up and volunteer is coming up.  Read on with a mind and heart open to how the Lord may lead you:

Sunday School Fellowship Annual Meeting Saturday, March 23, 10 AM, Woodland Park Chapel, Portland
Contact:
SSF Chairman Seth Lewis sethlws14@gmail.com

Has your church selected delegates yet?  Each InFaith affiliated congregation which is an SSF member (which includes almost all of you receiving this message) is entitled to have two voting delegates at the annual meeting next month to help guide the fellowship’s work for the Lord.  The get-together will include updates on SSF’s numerous ministry activities in support of the InFaith mission in our area.  Delegates will also choose members to serve on the SSF Board of Trustees.  That board meets periodically throughout the year to engage in SSF ministry efforts as diverse as the InFaith Advance, financial assistance to churches and pastors, holding title to some church facilities, and even assisting with the construction of new churches from time to time.  Pastors are welcome, but INTERESTED LAY LEADERS ARE PARTICULARLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. God has a place for you in Sunday School Fellowship!

Other Upcoming InFaith Activities…

  • NWxNW ministry leaders’ fellowship February 20th, 3:30 PM at the Teele Home on Doan Road in Rainier.

  • Sandy Fellowship Breakfast February 21st, 9 AM at Tollgate Inn in Sandy.

I will also be blessed to meet with leaders of Shiloh Basin Community Church after attending their February 25th worship service.  If you would like to join me in visiting perhaps the most remotely located congregation we serve, drop me a note at thiscox@infaith.org.  Maybe I can give you a ride!

May the Lord bless you abundantly this week as you return His gifts to you in your service to Him.
