Time for Prayer
Portland Pastors Prayer, March 14, 10 AM at Woodland Park Chapel
Come join fellow shepherds for prayer this Thursday at Woodland Park Chapel, starting at 10 AM. Rev. Steven Boyle (left) and Pastor Brad Gentry lead us in an hour or so of conversation with the Lord, as we remember the blessings and needs of the many InFaith connected churches and ministries in Northwest Oregon.
Even if you cannot be with us, please consider setting aside a few minutes Thursday to pray for the churches in our communities. A couple special requests this week:
Pray for healing and comfort for Janet Droullard, wife of retired Dover Community Church Pastor Bob Droullard. Bob says Janet is home, but remains in severe pain and is having trouble taking food. Janet had a 36 hour hospital stay last week for several health issues, including pain in her hip, inflammation, and the discovery of two small masses in her pancreas and lung. Pray also for Bob’s strength and encouragement as he faithfully cares for his ailing wife.
Pray for family of Ida Kinberg, whose memorial service is Saturday in Buckley, Washington. Ida was the wife of former Area Missionary Don Kinberg, who served in northwest Oregon back when InFaith was still called American Missionary Fellowship.
Please pray for me as I focus this week on preparing a memorial service for a young man who died in a traffic accident last month. He was close in age to my two youngest, and we have known the family for a couple decades. This service is also on Saturday, March 16.
Advance 2025 is already in the planning stage!
Pencil in the dates of January 17-19, 2025 for Advance, our annual gathering of pastors, church leaders, missionaries and their spouses, held at Twin Rocks Friends Camp at Rockaway Beach, OR. Obviously, it’s a bit early to confirm other details, but you want to make sure that weekend is free for you to come and be blessed by the fellowship.

By the way, I anticipate a few calendar mistakes in the months ahead. Please be patient with me 😊. A series of power outages at my home damaged the computer files that contain my calendar and contacts. They also severed the synchronization link between my Apple devices and my Windows computer. It may take me a while to catch back up and get it all fixed. I should be able to find all the missing data in backups, Lord willing. Sometimes I miss the days when I just jotted it all down in a Daytimer!
